My first time in Ravda

We first visited Ravda properly when we had decided to purchase a property on the outskirts of the village on the road to Nesebur.

We had visited previously with the taxi driver we used regularly, whose home was in Ravda, he showed his house and garden to us, he was basically self sufficient with a garden that he used to grow many foodstuffs, onions, tomatoes, courgettes, apricots, peaches and other vegetables, he also kept some rabbits in hutches, (and I don't think they were pets), whilst we were in his house he gave Mal and I some home brewed Rakia which was dynamite, (Mal wasn’t over struck so it was poured into my glass whilst the taxi driver wasn’t looking) needlessly to say I ended up slightly intoxicated..

When we bought the apartment in September we took a walk into the village, it was very quiet due to the time of the year, it has certainly expanded since we first visited, but still tends to be quiet from late September onwards, although in season it is very busy with many restaurants and bars open, we are a familiar couple to many of the shopkeepers who stay open all year round, we walk around all the village now quite regularly an are very familiar with the roads, shops, and restaurants
